Minister Avcı had his photo taken with students and received information about the latest state of affairs at the museum from the officials.

Speaking to journalists, Minister Avcı said that the authorities have decided that students will name the museum.

Noting that the museum hosts the miniature samples of most distinguished works of Turkish the world, Minister Avcı said, “This is also a big open air education field. This museum is designed in a way that it would urge visiting students to learn more about cultural heritage located in different parts of the Turkish world. We also ask students to name this museum as a part of our effort to reinforce their interest. Now, students are coming in groups and they learn about these works and the museum.”

Minister Avcı said  ballots in the form of postcards are distributed to the students visiting the museum and they are asked to write down their suggestions on it adding that:

“The ballot card also includes a message from me. It says, “Distinguished teachers, dear students, student will name this park that is built with the donations of Turkish World Foundation as a gift to the people of Eskişehir and the whole nation.  I hope it will be a blessing for everyone.” Students will write their name and suggestions to the empty space at the back of the ballot card. Later, a jury made up of teachers shall pick a name. This will also allow us to see how the children view this park. Every suggestion reveals how students view this park. We will have the opportunity to understand children’s expectations about such attempts.”

Noting that the Turkish World Culture Capital Agency has made important contributions to Eskişehir, Minister Avcı stressed, “This Park is just one of these contributions. I would like to thank everybody who contributed to the construction of this park, especially our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Eskişehir Governor.”

Meanwhile, students congratulated Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı on his 62nd birthday.
