Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı was hosted at the “Dinner of the Souls” organized jointly by the Turkish World Foundation and the Office of the Governor of Eskişehir.

Minister Avcı attended the iftar dinner given at the Vilayet Square with the participation of 7 thousand 500 people. Recalling a speech by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Ordupazarı square on May 28, 2011 when he declared “we will turn Eskişehir into a cultural capital of the Turkish world” Minister Avcı explained that a law was drafted in 2013 and Eskişehir became the cultural capital of the Turkish world.

Minister Avcı thanked President Erdoğan for his contributions in turning Eskişehir into a cultural capital of the Turkish world and said the Turkish World Foundation continues to serve the city with success and reported that within this framework the Islamic social center of Seyyid Sücaaddin Veli and the Dede Korku Park were completed. Minister Avcı said there is still much to be done and reported that the Turkish World Foundation will not only build permanent monumental works but will also provide cultural activities. Minister Avcı went on to say “I thank everyone who has contributed to all this including members of our coordination council, our ministers, our members of the board, our university rectors, our chamber presidents, all the personnel and experts who participated in the activities. I also thank the honorable Governor for organizing this event. I hope we will repeat this event.”
